Had an issue with our Volvo battery and dealt with Tom and Michael over the phone who were both very helpful. Then had the battery fitted by Naresh who completed the job half an hour after their closing time. Great service and advice from all involved and half the price of the Volvo quote. Also much quicker! Had 2x cars with 10+year old batteries changed at Hobart Battery World. Both cars had awkward battery installations. 1x Smart ForTwo (Jan 2024). 1x Peugeot RCZ (Sep 2024). The service from all staff was excellent. Price was good too. Couldn't ask for more!

Battery World Hobart is powered by franchise partners and brother-in-law duo, Zain Ul Abidin and Waqas Rashid.
Zain is the friendly, customer-facing owner greeting locals in the store each day. With a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Wollongong and years of experience across manufacturing and logistics, he is passionate about practical problem-solving and helping customers find the right battery solution for their needs.
Having recently relocated from Melbourne, Zain is enjoying building strong relationships within Hobart’s welcoming community, with a focus on trust, approachability, and reliable service.
Supporting the business behind the scenes is Waqas, an electrical engineer with more than 12 years of experience and a deep understanding of battery systems. He manages the financial and administrative operations, ensuring the store is well supported and set up for long-term success.
Together, Zain and Waqas combine technical expertise with friendly, customer-first service. From everyday battery needs to specialised power solutions, they are committed to supporting Hobart locals and becoming a dependable part of the community for years to come.
