Stage 1: Introduction
In the introduction stage, candidates will be contacted by Battery World Australia to discuss their enquiry and interest. They will also receive a comprehensive email to give them information to read and assess. Candidates who are interested in pursuing the opportunity are required to complete the Battery World Australia Expression of Interest and Application form. Once completed and returned, Battery World Australia will issue the candidate a Confidentiality Deed for signing. Once signed and returned to Battery World Australia, the candidate will progress onto stage 2 of their journey, to owning their own Battery World franchise.
Stage 2: Due Dilligence
In this stage candidates will start an 4 week due diligence cycle where Battery World Australia will provide further information on the business over the timeframe. Information is provided weekly and will cover different aspects of the business and the opportunity. In this time, Battery World Australia will arrange a face to face meeting with the candidate to further discuss their progress and their interest. This will assist the candidate as they progress through their research. After the 4 week due diligence period, Battery World will then discuss with the candidate their thoughts on the opportunity and determine their position moving forward. For candidates wanting to progress to the next stage, a territory deposit of $2,000 (excl GST) will be required to hold the territory as they transition to the next stages.
Stage 3: Business Planning and Approval
The third stage of the franchise partner journey involves the candidates submitting business documentation to Battery World Australia for review. Battery World will assess the information provided , i.e. detailed business plan and cash flow projections on the business. This is where candidates will demonstrate the ability to run a franchise under Battery World Australia’s proven franchise system. Alongside the business plan and cash flow projections, candidates will be required to demonstrate their access to the required funds for the store set up including suitable working capital. Furthermore, they will have a formal meeting with Battery World Australia senior management to discuss their candidacy. In this stage, we also commence the review of available properties in the selected territory. By the end of this stage, Battery World Australia will determine their position on approval for the candidate. If a candidate is successful, they will transition to stage 4 with a granting of the right to a franchise. A full refund on the deposit is provided should a candidate not be successful.
Stage 4: Application Finalised
Successful candidates who have been granted the right to join the network will move to stage 4 in their journey. In this stage, candidates will receive formal disclosure and will finalise their franchise agreement and pay their franchise fee. When this has been done, the candidate will be booked into the next available induction for the required training. Whilst this is happening, Battery World Australia and the candidate will be finalising the premises that will be used for the store operation within the selected territory. Once the training has been successfully completed, candidates will then commence their store build project. Battery World Australia has dedicated teams to assist in providing the branding, quotes and costs of the store fitout. Please note that until such time a candidate successfully completes training, the store fitout project cannot commence.
Stage 5: Store Opening and Ongoing Support
In this final stage, the store build project is being finalised and the doors are opening. In this time, the new franchise partners will have ongoing support from their delegated Franchise Development Manager (FDM) as they commence trading as the newest Battery World Franchise partners in the network. In this stage, with the store opening completed, franchise partners will receive ongoing assistance as required from the Battery World Australia Operations team in particular, and Support office team in general.
