Australia wide warrantiesThe OzCharge OC1225U 12V 25A Battery Charger and Maintainer is designed for lead-acid type batteries (AGM, Calcium SMF, Gel & Wet) from 6Ah to 500Ah. The charger can also be used to maintain batteries up to 750Ah.
The OC1225U battery charger and maintainer utilises state of the art 9 stage technology for safe and efficient charging of a wide range of batteries. The OC-1225U is designed for charging and maintaining Car, Boat, RV, and large battery bank and deep cycle batteries. The charger can also safely be a used for smaller batteries including motorbikes, jet skis, ATVs and garden equipment. The charger is fully automatic allowing the charger to be left on 24/7 with confidence and ensuring that your batteries will perform better and last longer.
In this mode the charger is now converting to a constant current and constant voltage power supply allowing you to power 12V appliances,or retain memory when replacing a battery. To enter power supply mode press & hold the Charge Rate button for 3 seconds to activate Power Supply Mode. When in Power Supply Mode, the Pwr. Supply LED will be ON.
The OC-1225U features a selectable output allowing you to choose whether to output at: 25A,15A or 2A. This makes the OC-1225U an extremely versatile charger and suitable for a very wide range of batteries.
When using the OC1225U it is important to select the correct charge rate for the battery you are charging. A common mistake many people make is to select the highest charge rate setting, not realising it may damage the internal components, reducing the battery life. The recommended charging Amps for a flooded lead acid battery is roughly 10% of its Ah rating. For an Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) or Gel battery this can be increase to 20% of its Ah rating.
If you are unsure of the Ah rating of your battery please check the specifications on the battery or contact your battery's manufacturer.
The 2A - maintenance mode - will charge a range of lead acid batteries between 6 and 40Ah and will maintain batteries up to 200Ah.
The 15A - silent charge mode - will charge a range of lead acid batteries between 45 and 300Ah and will maintain batteries up to 450Ah.
The 25A - rapid charge mode - will charge a range of lead acid batteries between 75Ah and 500Ah and will maintain batteries up to 750Ah. During this mode, the internal fan may engage from time to time if the charger gets hot.
