Long-time battery expert Tracy Wren has taken over the reins of Battery World Bundaberg, at the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and one of south east Queensland's key hubs for fresh produce.

With the previous franchise partners, Robert & Karina Jarrett planning to enjoy their retirement in the coastal gems of the Bundaberg region, Ms Wren and husband Tony, jumped at the opportunity to continue their legacy and continue to grow the store.

Ms Wren bought the Bundaberg store after 25 years of experience with Battery World Rockhampton including taking over her father-in-law's franchise over a decade ago.

"I have always loved the Bundaberg area and want to be part of the community, so that locals and visitors alike know that if they have a battery-related issue, we are here to help," she said.

Bringing a wealth of knowledge in marine batteries, driven by her lifelong passion for water sports, Ms Wren will share her expertise with the Bundaberg community, where water sports are a popular activity.

"Whether it is advice on preserving your boat battery's health so you can safely spend more time on the water, or providing free battery checks before you head out, we are here to assist anyone who needs it," she said.

Ms Wren commitment to the community extends beyond the store. She is supporting the local environment through a battery recycling initiative, which aims to educate the community about the often-misunderstood process of recycling batteries, while also providing a safe and accessible disposal option.

Under Ms Wren's leadership, Battery World Bundaberg will continue to support a range of local clubs and charities.

Ms Wren said customers can expect the same high level of service and expertise for which Battery World Bundaberg is known, enhanced by fresh ideas and a genuine passion for the local community.
