Tree-charge for National Battery Day

Now that Valentine’s Day is out of the way, Australia’s largest niche battery retailer wants you to celebrate another love – the planet – by going green on National Battery Day on February 18.

Worldwide National Battery Day spotlights how batteries power our world along with the need for responsible disposal once batteries reach their end-of-life. And research shows there is great room for growth and engagement.

Battery World’s recycling committee champion Greg Leslie said while battery recycling was offered at Battery World stores all year: on this day, the company wanted to extend its green footprint, by rallying us to plant a tree.

"Forget tree-change – let’s make is a tree-charge,” Greg said. “The freedom to go unplugged comes with the responsibility to ensure the proper and safe disposal of batteries when they reach their end-of-life.
