Meet The Owners

Andrew Stubbs joined Battery World in June 2013 when he opened their brand new Hoppers Crossing store. Now he is the man behind a milestone for the national battery retailer charged with opening the company’s first ever CBD flagship store.

And in keeping with that theme, the store will also be the first to showcase a state of the art Battery Testing zone where customers can see what happens when their batteries undergo diagnostic testing.

The former medical equipment manager reckons you can’t beat being your own boss – buying Hoppers Crossing to officially launch himself into the world of the self-employed.

“It has been an amazing ride to get up and running,” he said, ”I had been looking for nearly two years for a business I could identify with and was really impressed by the franchise sector. I love Hoppers Crossing and live a hop step and a jump from Southbank – so my two loves are combined. “

Andrew believes great service is intrinsic to Battery World’s core values – his team committed to helping customers whether they buy something today or come back tomorrow.

“Customer service where you become their problem solver: whether it is a shopper who doesn’t want to buy a new phone just because their battery has died (so we help get it going again with a new battery), or mechanics who order their batteries through us - they should be able to walk into any store and see the same range, same prices and consistently good service,” he said.

Andrew believes in providing a strong commitment to his local community through recycling happily taking in your old domestic batteries for recycling from cars to AAs, along with fundraising for autism research and children’s safety charity Bravehearts.
