Meet the Owners
Adam Healey knows a thing or two about batteries: after working between three stores across the Brisbane metropolitan area for the last two years - he is now the proud owner of Rocklea.
A mad car enthusiast, he has owned several old Holden's in his time - but is happy to 'chew the fat' on any make or model with customers.
Married with two small children Adam loves nothing better than casting a line at every opportunity he can, but as his friends and family found out he is pretty particular about how close you can stand at a fishing spot.
"I love to talk to people from dawn til dusk; but when I am fishing it is just me and the water," he says, "I love to cast out and just enjoy the solitude."
The funny thing is Adam is not disappointed when he doesn't catch anything. He actually has a sever allergy to any fish or seafood.
"In February 2017, I spent 10 days driving around New Zealand's south island in a camper van enjoying all the fishing spots," he says, "It is the beauty, the solitude and the peace fishing brings I like: I am more than happy to catch and release."
Adam has worked in a number of fields from plant manager at Boral to courier driver, including time in a family auto business, and brings a wealth of experience to the store.
"My business ethic is pretty simple: treat customers how I want to be treated," he says, "I love my cars, I love to fish and I really love helping people.
