Meet the owners
Battery World Lilydale’s Glenn McVeigh is the man behind the suburb’s one stop shop for batteries and has been part of the Lilydale commerce landscape for 9 years.
You might have seen him driving his purple car around town – a car he bought at one of Battery World’s annual charity auctions raising more than $55,000 for the children’s cancer charity Camp Quality. With a background as a mechanic Glenn loves to combine his practical skills with good fashioned service with his daughter, Kersten also helping to provide the best shopping experience for their customers. From tractor batteries to a new battery for your cordless phone this store has batteries for over 8000 portable devices.
Glenn loves the evolution of technology and the never-ending source of challenges each day in keeping his customers powered up even when they don’t really know there is a battery in their appliance.
The Battery World Lilydale team not only delivers exceptional customer service, they love being able to fix people’s problems and give them a solution to their power issues and troubles.
Lilydale has a strong commitment to their local community through recycling. They happily take in your old domestic batteries for recycling from cars to AAs, along with supporting school recycling initiatives. Apart from fundraising for Camp Quality, Bravehearts, drought relief for farmers and autism research, Lilydale also sponsors the local bowling club and fossicking club.
