Meet the owners
Hobart Battery World’s Graham and Michelle Cowie know how important it is for a community to stay powered up and switched on.
While they have played important roles in the past keeping people switched on during Tasmania’s bushfires, the duo themselves bounced back with purple power and a totally new rebuild of their Argyle Street store after a fire in May 2016.
The duo say they were overwhelmed by the support of customers and other businesses during their rough patch and say they are committed to getting on with doing everything they can to keep Hobart customers powered up and plugged in.
With a background as a financial planner, Graham knows how important the right service is and insists on delivering exceptional service to their customers as well as a commitment to his community.
“We stock batteries for over 8000 appliances and gadgets, ”Graham said.
“The Battery World Hobart team love being able to fix people’s problems and give them a solution to their power issues and troubles. Adding to that we can do free health checks on your battery so why not call in call in and check out our shiny new store.”
Hobart Battery World has a strong commitment to their local community through sponsoring junior sport through OHA Hockey Club, the Derwent Sailing Squadron, the Tasmania Association for Gifted Children, Bravehearts and Guide Dogs Australia.
They’re also looking forward to exhibiting in February at the Wooden Boat Festival 2017.
