Meet the Owners
He can change car batteries in his sleep, help you power your caravan, even make sure your mobile is well-charged but there’s one job Vince Petruzzella was not prepared for – Australia’s unlikeliest sex symbol.
The Battery World Glynde franchisee became the national face for the specialised battery retailer in ads across the country in 2015 and along the way garnered attention from the ladies.
Battery World was looking for a genuine franchisee and someone customers could identify with and Vince was a hit from the start. The married father has laughed off the attention but admitted his daughter was most thrilled with his newfound fame.
Vince has owned Battery World stores in SA since 2005. He grew up around his family owned and run service stations so it is no wonder he became a mechanic. Vince also ran a workshop for the Royal Automobile Association of South Australia RAASA. Every year the store donates smoke alarm batteries to organisations that support low-income families – ensuring their community stays safe
From supplying batteries to the volunteer coastguard to fundraising for Camp Quality, Bravehearts, drought relief for farmers and autism research, Vince really cares about the community he lives and works in.
