Meet the owners

In 2012 Darwin Battery World kicked off in a brand new location with brand new owners – dynamic power duo Rob Bonser and Kerry Boyd.

The duo is no stranger to Australia’s largest battery retailer – they have been with Battery World since 1997 with their Cairn’s store, which is one of the franchises best.

The duo was only one of two recipients awarded the inaugural Battery World Hall of Fame Award in 2012, which recognises outstanding commitment to Battery World.

Rob is also runs a charter fishing business in Cairns and is mad about the NT’s fishing scene so is your man for anything you need to know about marine batteries and marine power needs.

This duo delivers exceptional service to their customers.  They believe it is not enough to only sell batteries – it is important to help keep people switched on.  Helping customers with their battery problems, wherever they are, whenever they need help, is a vital component of their business mantra. Service has to be paramount.

Darwin also has a strong commitment to their local community supporting local events through sponsorship and schools with battery recycling programs. Darwin Battery World already supports in-store recycling initiatives:  they also support fundraising for Camp Quality, Bravehearts, drought relief for farmers and autism research.

I would like to sincerely thank Mike for his excellent service we received 2 weeks ago, in providing a replacement caravan battery charger whilst we were camped at Roper Bar. The charger and leads arrived on the day indicated, it was appropriate for our needs, was able to be fitted easily & is working very well. It is so unusual these days to receive such efficient & courteous service as well as benefit from such knowledgible advice per phone, & we are greatly appreciative.  Please accept our sincere gratitude and be assured we have recommended Battery World Darwin to our fellow grey-nomads/senile seniors :)

Tonight after doing some shopping I returned to my car to find that it wouldn't start. After trying to jump start it without success, I rang Battery World Darwin. I was greeted by a friendly, polite, and informative man named Daniel. He quickly came to where I was and talked me through possible problems and what he was going to do, which seemed to make the wait go by quickly.
He is a credit to you, and I just wished to share these thoughts with you. It's a pity there aren't many more "Daniels" around, but the ones that are should be celebrated and thanked.
