Meet the owners
Battery World’s Deena Moodley may have moved to Australia from South Africa in 1999 but has happily been a Castle Hill local ever since. His background is diverse working in automotive parts business in South Africa to an international relocation furniture business, transport logistics and working for Wesfarmers since arriving in New South Wales. He yearned to be his own boss working close to home so when the opportunity came up to buy the Castle Hill Battery World store, he jumped at it.
You might also see Deena’s wife Millie working in the store – popping in on Saturdays to help out. Deena understands we are trying to get more out of our devices so stocks batteries for more than 8000 gadgets and devices – from your older model mobile phone to the very latest in remotes for your garage door. Needless to say his team is quick to help you with caravan, camping and marine needs to keeping your laptop and mobile power charged.
Battery World has a strong commitment to their local community supporting children’s charities like Camp Quality and Bravehearts, to drought relief for farmers and autism research. They also support recycling initiatives through school and in-store recycling for all types of disused batteries - happily taking in your old domestic batteries for recycling from cars to AAs.
