Meet the owners

Travers Bawden loves to set Battery World records.

He was the first person in the network’s 20-year history to own four Battery World stores and now he joins a select club of only two franchisees in owning five stores.

Together with business partner Rob Parry the duo are the faces behind Beenleigh Battery World and are using their buying power to make sure they are always stocked with the greatest and latest of all your battery needs.

Joining the network in 2013 Travers came from real estate finance but longed to be his own boss. He could see the need for portable power was set to continue so was attracted to Battery World.

Rob brings a wealth of experience to the store having worked in the business first as a manager before teaming up with Travers to be an owner.

The duo are excited by leaps and bounds in solar technology: they believe our desire to tap into the sun for energy will see amazing changes with solar power set to surge ahead with solar energy solutions becoming common place in our homes.

Both Travers and Rob believe their staff are the real strength of their businesses – teams that always go the extra mile for shoppers: delivering exceptional customer service. They love being able to fix people’s problems and give them a solution to their power issues and troubles.
Battery World has a strong commitment to their local community supporting children’s charities like Camp Quality and Bravehearts, to drought relief for farmers and autism research and now Soldier On. They also support recycling initiatives through school and in-store recycling for all types of disused batteries - happily taking in your old domestic batteries for recycling from cars to AAs.
